What we are good at depends on owning the method: how the work is designed, tested and released. Inside a work package we can do that. Placed in someone else's team, on their process, we cannot.
So we take whole packages and decline seats. You get a finished result and no one to manage day to day.

What if their engineer is unavailable?
The state of the work is in records, not in a head. The design is written and approved, the tests say what the system should do, the pipelines say how it is released, and all of it is in the repository. There are two directors.
Do they use AI to write the code?
We use AI tools to help write and check code, tests and documents. A named senior engineer designs, reviews and answers for every change, and nothing ships until it passes its automated tests.
Has it been security-tested?
Security is part of the design, and where the risk calls for it the system is penetration-tested by an independent firm. The platform in our lead case study was, with its AI assistant included.
Can our own team support it afterwards?
Yes. The handover includes a paper setting out the skills needed to support, maintain and extend the system, written for the people who will do it.
